Dylan Ratigan Calls Out Family Research Council’s Ruse for Lying About Stupak Amendment

I must give Ratigan’s his respect. He did not even play the game that what the “Family Research Council’s” spokesperson, Cathy Ruse, was spouting was even remotely connected to reality.

Of course this topic makes my blood boil. I am so sick of a bunch of men, with the church’s backing and blessing, dictating what is best for women. Just at what point did they have that operation that changed their gender? There is no question that the Stupak Amendment must be removed from the health care reform bill.

From my understanding it does not have the steam (needs 60 votes to be accepted) to remain in the bill; however, women must take a stand on this issue (exception to dumb as dirt tea bagging fools and zealous religious fanatics), and make sure we start getting a lot more equality. It’s time to sign petitions, call your senator or congress spokesperson, or send them an email.

Let’s not let them just steam roll this backwards ass bill into our lives. It is no secret that this is a back handed way to repeal Roe vs. Wade.  We’ve come a long way and I will not see us go backwards.  It’s time to hold President Obama to the promises he made to women regarding equality.  That promise will be a sham if this amendment is allowed to pass.
