Why King was assassinated
Every year Martin Luther King’s contribution to the moral character of the United States becomes clear. What is also transparent is the power and ruthlessness of the forces King was opposing.Â
The probability that King was killed by forces within the US government has also been illuminated as well. The so called elite’s worst fear is that people will overlook minor racial, religious, political and social differences, and start seeing and understanding how they are being screwed. Once that realization sets in people would join together to do something about the elite’s game of playing with people’s lives for the sake of masking their greed, selfishness and hatred as the American way. No one had a clearer vision or voice regarding that subject than King, which is why his life was snuffed out way too soon.
The elite has once again embarked on the campaign of keeping this country separated. This time they have employed their own hired monkeys to fill the airwaves with the sounds of hate through the voices of Rush Limbaugh (King Pillbooza), Sean Hannity (sissy clown boy), Bill O’Reily (moralist bullshiter), Glen Beck (psycho boy) and a whole host of other radio commentators that sell and perpetuate hate on a daily basis.
It is no laughing matter that some of the hate peddlers sell hate under the guise of religion. Yet, no one seems to notice that by doing so it turns the so
called love of the almighty into just another vehicle for man to do nothing more than exhibit hate and intolerance. When you find your politicians promoting hate by motivating people to protest the government in a violent way, something must be mighty wrong with us as a Nation to vote such ass holes into office.
The right is quickly slipping back into its conspiratorial nutjob posture that it had during the Clinton presidency, seeing black helicopters and one world UN government under their beds at every turn. As a friend of mine noted they were lunatics when the object of their ire was a white southerner. One can only wonder what someone they perceive as a black muslim intent on installing Sharia law will prompt them to do. And because these psychos form the activist base of the Republican party, congress will just encourage them. [Source:Â Oliver Willis]
Let’s stop pretending that telling people to take up arms is a pun on words or that the person who said it is just crazy. Nor should we pretend that constantly calling anyone that is an American with a different political view point that they are a socialist, communist or fascist. Using that terminology is not even a veiled attempt at inciting some racist group of people to act violently with the belief that they are doing it for the good of the country.
There is nothing good or beneficial about a country that is divided. There is absolutely nothing fair and balanced about receiving news reports that are twisted, a lie or just plain misinformation, which we seem to get on a regular daily basis from all our News channels (although Fox 24-hours-of-bullshit News contributes the heaviest in lies and misinformation).
Once again we are embarking on the path of resetting our Nation and trying to get it right. That’s one of the reasons we elected Barack Obama.  For once we were going to vote in a real person for the people. Especially, after 8 years of utter failure and governmental corruption of epic proportion. A failure and corruption that has lead us to the near destruction of our economy, our respect as a country and our power to lead. That 8 years has a name and there is no pretending it was a mix of the little people being greedy and Wall street going bad. Its called republican ideology and its ex-leaders name is George W. Bush. That same band of republican idiots have now made it their soul purpose to make sure we are not given the chance to fix our problems. Instead we are under siege by the same perpetual persistent hatred that was so intolerable when we were fighting for equality back in the days when Martin Luther King was a live.
But, itâs not all just harmless talk. For some, their disaffection has hardened into something more dark and dangerous. Theyâre talking about a revolution.
Some simply lace their unscrupulous screeds with loaded language about the fall of the Republic. We have to ârise upâ and âtake back our country.â Others have been much more explicit.
For example, Chuck Norris, the preeminent black belt and prospective Red Shirt, wrote earlier this month on the conservative blog WorldNetDaily: âHow much more will Americans take? When will enough be enough? And, when that time comes, will our leaders finally listen or will history need to record a second American Revolution?â [Source:Â New York Times]
Are we going to let all those words of hope and all those years of protest with King just go to waste? Was it all for nothing? The following video is about an hour and a half but well worth viewing. Its to remind us of what we were fighting for: equality for the peace to live together, regardless of our religious beliefs or political differences, as one nation.
As you watch the video it will be easy to draw parallels of some of what was done to Martin Luther King is pretty much being played, once again, against President Obama, and we all know how King ended up. Its true that the who that was doing it then is no longer just a governmental employee such as Herbert Hoover and a bunch of other redneck racist; but, the who this time is a group of governmental employees, the republican party, who have strong lobbyist ties with America’s richest corporations and who have been very diligent at painting a picture that President Obama is the enemy of America. Does negative press sound familiar? Or calling him a communist, socialist or fascist sound familiar? Exactly. God help us if President Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize, the rage of the wingnuts will know no bounds and violence may be their only recourse.
To hate and fear,
Youâve got to be taught
From year to year,
Itâs got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
Youâve got to be carefully taught.
Youâve got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diffârent shade,
Youâve got to be carefully taught.
Youâve got to be taught before itâs too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
Youâve got to be carefully taught!
