You would think with the state of affairs that the republicans party is in, with no clear leadership — exception to Limbaugh, Teabaggers, and Becky-po — and no clear message or ideas, the republicans would at least take time to try to re-establish themselves.  Not so.  Once again they are participating in what they do best, cater to big business.

The change comes as top Republicans lawmakers appeal more directly to business leaders, putting them on notice that the GOP is keeping track of the corporate donations ledger and will remember who stood by the party.

As part of an effort dubbed “Sell the Fight,” House Republican leaders have met privately with corporate executives and lobbyists to argue that their giving has tilted too far toward Democrats and that they need to steer more money to industry-friendly GOP candidates in key races in 2010.

“These corporate leaders and lobbyists have got interests and clients they need to look out for, and they are reading the tea leaves just like everyone else,” said Rep. Of course this is all being done with the audacious hope that the republicans win big in November.  Yet, I get the feeling the republicans are not going to do as well as they are aspiring too, not with crazies like Rand Paul.  The reason why the republicans are keeping tabs of which business help them financially, is so, you know, they can kill bills in the Senate that are bad for big business but protective of us.

Once again proving that republicans are not for the people, by the people or much less people.

First he made that stupid statement, which he has since walked back from, of wanting to change the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  Let’s just say he dropped his self in the middle of the ocean without a boat when he made that statement.  It didn’t help that he was also throwing around the desire to change the American Disabilities Act and The Housing Act.

Nope, none of that psycho babble was doing him or the teabaggers any favors.  Of course it did kind of let the truth out the bag, teabaggers are, pure and simple, racist.  But of course we are not suppose to notice that aspect of teabaggers.  All racism is suppose to be put under the category of “angry,” even if said anger makes no sense.

But I digress, Rand Paul is certainly continuing in the fashion of making him self into a fool, as we find out more about his wacky conspiracy bullshit.  Today, I guess in the hopes of changing the subject away from his wacky shit, he stated that the president was ‘un-American’ because he blames BP for the “accident” (his word choice) that took place in the Gulf.  He kinds of sound like that idiot Palin, which makes me wonder just how much political knowledge does he have?

Really how stupid is that shit?  It’s not like BP’s president got a hang nail and cut some one accidently.  There was an explosion (from faulty equipment), 11 people died, crude oil is dumping into the Gulf at an epic proportion and BP is a foreign company for damn sake.  What’s with these libertarians?  There is no way what happened with BP could be classified as an ‘accident,’ it’s an environmental nightmare that is destroying livelihoods and life.

But the plot just gets worst for Rand Paul because it seems no one in the media (probably because the media thought he wouldn’t win, after all the republicans were backing the other guy) checked out his background prior to his winning.  Rand Paul’s background is turning out to be one of a weird extremist:

Now it turns out that after his week of utter failure as a spokesperson, Paul is bowing out of going on Meet the Press.
